The final show of the 'Saucerful of Secrets' tour, with drummer ("the beating heart of Pink Floyd") Nick Mason playing 'before Dark Side of the Moon' Floyd along with Gary Kemp (redeeming himself for some of Spandau Ballet), Pink Floyd touring bassist Guy Pratt, guitarist Lee Harris, and keyboardist Dom Beken.

I'd got a ticket late, having only heard it was happening nine days before, and – presumably thanks to a return – ended up a handful of rows back from the stage in centre of the stalls. A perfect seat in fact.

It was Nick Mason's first tour for 24 years and I just hope I am as active at 74 as he is…
